Merry C. Collins

Merry C. "Micki" Collins, 67, of 133 Pratt St. died Monday afternoon at the Samaritan Medical Center where she had been a patient. Mrs. Collins worked as a private care nursing assistant at various locations.

Mrs. Collins was born August 5, 1942 in Watertown to Patrick and Erva (O'Flaherty) Trainham. She graduated from Watertown High School and trained to be a nursing assistant. She married Richard Collins January 8, 1974 in Watertown. Mr. Collins died April 17, 2004.

Mrs. Collins was a member at Asbury United Methodist Church. She was a devoted mother and grandmother and enjoyed trips to Atlantic City.

Surviving are 5 sons, Tom and Shawn Trainham, both of Watertown, David and Patrick Collins both of Watertown and Timothy Collins, Syracuse, a sister Patricia Welch, IN and 17 grandchildren. A sister Loretta Trainham and a brother Jack Trainham died before her.

The funeral service will be Thursday 3 p.m. at the Reed & Benoit Funeral Home, Rev. Bruce Chapman officiating. A calling hour will be Thursday from 2 p.m.-3 p.m. preceding the funeral.
