DEKALB JUNCTION — Gary Harold Larock, 51, of Rice Road, died Tuesday, March 16, 2010 at his home surrounded by his loving family and Hospice and Palliative Care.
Born March 13, 1959 in Canton, NY son of Harold Sylvester and Geraldine Margaret (Rose) Larock of Lisbon, he graduated Lisbon Central School in 1977. He also received welding certification from BOCES.
Gary served with pride for 14 1/2 years as a truck driver for the NYS Dept. of Transportation in Potsdam until his illness. Working since the age of 15, Gary never lacked the ability or motivation to work and has been continuously employed throughout St. Lawrence County.
He was an avid Harley Davidson enthusiast and enjoyed riding with his numerous friends. He also enjoyed fishing, hunting and watching NASCAR races. Gary also enjoyed every minute with his Grandson.
Surviving in addition to his parents are his children, Harold Gary Larock and wife Lindsey Jean of Lisbon and Maryjane Marie Larock and companion Nathan Havens of Lisbon; his significant other, Donna Mouthorp of DeKalb Jct.; one brother, William Joseph Larock of Lisbon; a sister, Janice Margaret Sexton and husband Michael of Potsdam; one grandson, Seth Karl Larock of Lisbon; a niece, Michelle Sexton Seiler of Chicago, IL; two nephews, John Sexton of Potsdam and Christopher Larock of Lisbon; and a special friend, Jordan Mouthorp of DeKalb Jct.
Funeral services will be Friday, March 19th at 10:00 AM at the Lawrence Funeral Home, Canton with lay minister Morris LaFaver. Calling hours will be Thursday from 2-4 and 6-8 PM at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Pleasant Mound Cemetery, Colton.
The family requests memorial contributions be made to Hospice and Palliative Care of the St. Lawrence Valley, 6805 US Hwy 11, Potsdam, NY 13676. Gary donated out of every paycheck.
