Massena man arrested

after domestic dispute

MASSENA — Village police charged Terry L. Crump, 38, of 543 S. Main St., Apt. 1, with third-degree assault.

He allegedly choked Joleen R. Coffey during a domestic dispute at 5:40 p.m. Tuesday at their residence.

Court documents indicated Mr. Crump was upset that Ms. Coffey hadn't been home for a few days. He reportedly threw her to the floor and began to choke her with his elbow. He also reportedly threatened to kill her.

Mr. Crump was arraigned by Massena Town Justice Gerald P. Sharlow and was released under the supervision of the probation department. The court also signed a temporary order of protection directing him to stay away from Ms. Coffey.

Man accused of having

metal knuckles in fight

WAVERLY — A St. Regis Falls man is accused of having metal knuckles during a fight early Tuesday.

Thomas G. Wilcox, 23, was charged with third-degree criminal possession of a weapon, a felony, because of a prior felony conviction, state police said.

An unidentified man injured in the fight was taken for treatment to Alice Hyde Medical Center, Malone, troopers said.

Mr. Wilcox was arraigned in Dickinson Town Court and sent to Franklin County jail, Malone, on $15,000 bail or $45,000 bond. No further information was available.

Police say man spanked

boy hard enough to bruise

WADDINGTON — A Waddington man is accused of spanking a 3-year-old boy hard enough to cause severe bruising of the child's buttocks.

Adam E. Bandy, 28, of 160 St. Lawrence Ave., was charged Friday with second-degree assault and child endangerment, St. Lawrence County sheriff's deputies said. The child protective services unit of the St. Lawrence County Department of Social Services initiated the investigation.

Mr. Bandy was arraigned in Town Court and sent to St. Lawrence County jail, Canton, on $1,000 bail or $2,000 bond. A protection order was issued for the boy.

Gouverneur pair accused

of fighting each other

GOUVERNEUR — Two Gouverneur men were accused of fighting each other Friday night at a Quarry Road home.

Adam R. Matott, 24, was charged Sunday with third-degree assault and Randy H. Reynolds, 31, was charged with attempted third-degree assault and issuing a false written statement, state police said. Mr. Reynolds is accused of lying to authorities while giving a statement about the fight.

Both were issued appearance tickets for Town Court.

Massena woman charged

with harassing another

MASSENA — Bonnie S. LaMay, 42, of 35 Rockaway Drive, was charged Sunday by state police with second-degree aggravated harassment for allegedly calling Norfolk resident Lisa Rupert 16 times over a two-hour period and threatening her during some of the calls.

Ms. LaMay was issued an appearance ticket for Norfolk Town Court.

Edwardsville teen cited

with sexual misconduct

MORRISTOWN — Anthony M. Parody, 17, of 4180 County Route 6, Edwardsville, was charged Saturday with sexual misconduct, St. Lawrence County sheriff's deputies said. He is accused of having sexual contact with a 13-year-old girl.

He was arraigned in Canton Town Court and released under probation supervision.

Police allege woman left

daughter, 2, home alone

CARTHAGE — A former village woman is summoned to Village Court to answer allegations filed by her ex-husband that last July she left their 2-year-old child unattended in her apartment here, according to Carthage police.

Theresa S. Thilges, 34, of 104 Purcell Drive, Clayton, is charged with endangering the welfare of a child in an incident that occurred while she resided at 524 Francis St., police said.

A neighbor discovered and attended to the child, and notified the father, John K. Thilges, who was on duty in Iraq at the time, police said. Mr. Thilges contacted police March 5, requesting an investigation.

Watertown inmate cited

with assaulting a guard

An inmate at Watertown Correctional Facility was charged by state police Tuesday with assaulting a correctional officer.

Isaac Quiles, 26, New York City, is charged with second-degree assault. He remains a prisoner in the facility and awaits grand jury action.

According to documents filed in town of Watertown Court, he is alleged to have elbowed Officer C. Lehman in the left eye the evening of March 8.

He began in January serving a sentence of up to three and a half years given him in New York City for fourth-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, according to the state Department of Correctional Services Web site.

Watertown woman cited

with damage to doorway

A Watertown woman who allegedly damaged the door casing in an apartment on Academy Street when she slammed the door has been summoned to City Court.

City police on Saturday charged Michelle R. Ricks, 36, of 148 N. Orchard St., Apt. A, with fourth-degree criminal mischief. Police said the incident occurred Wednesday at 934 Academy St.

Forcible touching alleged

GOUVERNEUR — Christopher B. Jones, 26, of 111 Canton St., Hermon, was charged Monday by village police with forcible touching in an incident Feb. 19 and is ordered to appear in town of Gouverneur Court.

Police say Antwerp man

hit daughter, 4, with belt

ANTWERP — Joseph M. Moore, 24, of 41 Mechanic St., faces a criminal charge after state police allege that he struck his 4-year-old daughter with a belt.

He was charged Tuesday with endangering the welfare of a child and is ordered to appear in town of Antwerp Court. No other details were available from police about the incident.

Fort Drum man accused

of giving alcohol to teens

CARTHAGE — Village police allege that a Fort Drum man provided alcoholic beverages to youths ages 17 and younger at a party in January at a house on Alexandria Street.

Joshua M. Pope, 23, was arrested Tuesday on charges of unlawfully dealing with a child and endangering the welfare of a child.

Village Justice S. Lucille Shettleton sent him to the Metro-Jefferson Public Safety Building, Watertown. After bail of $1,000 was posted, he was turned over to Fort Drum authorities.

Watertown man accused

of causing disturbance

Michael D. Yarbrough, 42, of 934 Academy St., Apt. 3, was charged with disorderly conduct shortly before 1 a.m. Wednesday at his residence.

Police said he disturbed neighbors by shouting in a hallway. He also locked his girlfriend out of their apartment, police said.
