Renewable-energy forum slated

LOWVILLE — The New York State Bar Association's Environmental Law Section next month will hold an attorney forum here focusing on renewable energy.

The continuing legal education event is slated for 8:45 a.m. Aug. 12 at the Tug Hill Winery, Route 12. The cost for the forum and lunch is $75, while there is an additional $10 fee for an optional field trip to the Maple Ridge Wind Farm.

Panelists will be Randall C. Young, attorney for the state Department of Environmental Conservation's Region 6; Lawrence H. Weintraub, DEC assistant counsel; Dennis Whelpley of Schwerzmann & Wise; and Kevin V. Recchia and Kevin M. Bernstein of Bond, Shoeneck & King.

The luncheon speaker will be Jennifer J. Caddick, executive director of Save The River.
