The chickens are coming home to roost. Unchecked corporations are bringing their own form of destruction to our nation and culture. The bank meltdown. The insurance meltdown. The real estate meltdown. The stock market meltdown. The oil company meltdown, and now the ecology meltdown. More destruction has been visited on our country and culture by unchecked corporate business than by an invading army.
For years, yes centuries, enlightened leaders from government and academia have warned of this inherent danger. Paper people can commit crimes even larger than real people. The larger corporations become, the more dangerous they become. How long will it take the citizens and government of this country to realize the dangers of the unchecked corporate business structure?
Any system motivated only by greed cannot do anything good for long. Corporations were created to sidestep liability. Artificial people can create devastating losses for real people. Look not outside for the enemy, look within. The paper man is making fools of real people.
Our odds are better, in this day and age, in a casino compared to the stock market.
