As we continue to monitor the debate about health and economic benefits revolving around industrialization of our land and Lake Ontario with wind generators, several opposing views could be laid to rest using the following "contract" as an addendum to your wind lease. We urge the Voters for Wind and all our foreign developers to start using this "contract":
As a Voter for Wind, or supporter of wind energy, by signing this lease agreement:
I agree to rid our dependence on foreign oil by allowing foreign-manufactured wind turbine generators to populate our landscape and lakescape. I further support this effort by only using transportation operated by electric motors as well as take myself off the electric grid, using only wind energy for power, regardless of the hardship or cost to myself.
I agree to maintain my primary residence as well as all of my immediate families' residences within the setbacks that are promoted by the foreign developers as safe and practical. I also will live and raise my children, as well as immediate families' children, in close proximity to the transmission lines that transport wind energy.
I agree to have my taxes increased proportionally to the amount of decrease in overall assessment of nonparticipating landowners due to industrialization of our greenscape. I also agree to forgo assessment exemptions on the full market value of the wind generator placed on my property as my neighbors did not have this choice and pay full taxes of the valuable asset I will allow to be constructed.
Of course the above is a dramatization, but when you place it in this context, you see how foolish the argument is. One side gets a choice and is paid for it, while the other side just has to live with it. Which side are you on?
