The football and golf coach at Carthage Central School is facing a charge of driving while intoxicated in Malone Village Court.
Samuel A. Millich Jr., 46, Black River, was arrested on Duane Street in Malone at 7:05 p.m. Aug. 5, Malone police said Friday. His arrest occurred at a sobriety road check conducted by village officers and state troopers.
No additional charges were filed. Police initially did not disclose his blood alcohol level, saying only that he had a test reading of 0.08 percent or higher. On Friday they reported his BAC as 0.14 percent. State law establishes 0.08 percent BAC as the threshold for intoxication.
Mr. Millich on Friday confirmed the arrest but declined further comment.
