Lowville Farmers Market to focus Saturday on corn

LOWVILLE — This week's Lowville Farmers Market will celebrate sweet corn.

Vendors at the market, held from 8:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday in the Forest Park Pavilion at the Lewis County Fairgrounds off Bostwick Street, will offer sweet corn samples.

Various recipes featuring sweet corn also will be available, and several corn-themed contests are being planned.

Saturday's market will also be the final chance to enter a free drawing for girls and boys bicycles.

The drawing is scheduled for noon.
