Schroy, Roes win

EVANS MILLS — Thunder Alley Speed Park hosted a night of double features Saturday night. Because of last week's rainouts, all divisions held makeup features as well as the scheduled races in various divisions.

Bob Schroy won the scheduled men's trucks 20-lap feature, while Greg Roes won the makeup race. Dan Way won the thunder car 15-lap regular-scheduled feature with Joel Hall crossing the finish line first in the makeup race.

Scott Schafer was a double-winner in the 12-lap sports compact features. Mike Ramos took the two super stocks features.

Dan and Ricky Swem won thunder stocks features, while Larry Pete won the thunder-stock "B'' Main race. Lyndsay Wendell and Jenn Burnash were winners in the two women's truck features..

Mike Mandigo swept both of the open wheel races. Taylor Doxtater was a double-winner in the Junior thunder stock features.

Thunder Alley will be off next weekend and then resume racing on Sept. 11.

HEBERT, BERNARD WINNERS

David Hebert won the BOB FM-730 Truckstop 100 Saturday night at the Brockville (Ontario) Speedway. Hebert overtook Danny O'Brien at the halfway point of the race to collect $3,000.

Hebert was also the winner on Friday night at Edelweiss, as Kyle Rodidoux was runner-up and Steve Bernard took third.

Steve Bernard was crowed the new champion of the overall series. Rodidoux finished second and Hebert was third.

DECKER, JOHNSON VICTORIOUS

Will Decker and Alan Johnson were in a close race for the checkered flag in the modified feature Saturday night at Fulton Speedway. A caution with one lap to go helped Decker to open a car length edge on Johnson at the finish line.

Other winners were: Tim Sears Jr. (SUNY Canton sportsman); Tim Devendorf (crate late models); Matt Emmons (novice sportsman).

Danny Johnson edged Steve Paine by 56 seconds in the 35-lap big-block modified race Saturday night at Canandaigua Speedway.
