Two men are facing felony driving while intoxicated charges following arrests Monday night.
■ Randy M. Goodfriend, 50, of 101 Park St., Brownville, is charged with felony aggravated DWI after being involved in an accident at 8:05 p.m. at Huntington Street and Eastern Boulevard, according to Watertown police. The charge is a felony because he was convicted of DWI in 2003 in town of Adams Court. Police said he had a breath test result of 0.21 percent blood alcohol content. Under state law, a BAC of 0.08 percent or more constitutes intoxication. Aggravated DWI is charged when the BAC is 0.18 percent or more.
He did not cause the accident, however. Police said he was stopped on Huntington Street when Elsa J. Cobb, 61, Mannsville, made too short a left turn while turning from Eastern Boulevard. She did not see the Goodfriend auto until too late, police said. No summonses were issued to her.
■ David W. Ambrose, 53, of 26115 Route 3, Watertown, was arrested by state police at 9:40 p.m. on Route 3 in the town of LeRay, and faces charges of felony DWI, speeding and refusal to submit to a breath test. He has two DWI convictions, the latter in connection with an arrest in April 2007 in the town of Rutland.
