CAPE VINCENT — Mr. Frank W. Cox age 79 a summer residence of Cape Vincent and winter residence of Clayton died Monday at the Samaritan Medical Center after being stricken at his home. There will be no services at this time. Arrangements are with the T.R. Jetty Funeral Home Inc. Clayton.
Frank was born June 17th 1931 in Syracuse the son of Claude and Francis Shetley Cox. He graduated from Warner's High School. After graduating he joined the United States Air Force where he was honorably discharged. He married the former Patricia M. Mokwa December 3rd 1960 in Syracuse. He retired in 1990, after working for Niagara Mohawk Power Corporation as a substation operator for over 40 years. He was a member of the Clayton American Legion Colon Couch Post 821 and the Watertown Elks Club 496. He enjoyed gardening, was an avid cook and loved old movies.
Surviving besides his wife of 49 years Patricia is one daughter Theresa Campion of Solvay, three grandchildren, one sister Doreen [Raymond] Cappello of Syracuse, one brother Richard [Beverly] Cox of Syracuse, nieces and nephews. One sister Joanne Frawley of Bernard's Bay died before him.
