Canton Democrats pick candidates for election

CANTON — Democrats nominated a full slate of candidates for town and village seats in the Nov. 2 general election.

Former town Supervisor James T. Smith was nominated for the town councilman seat, while Christopher R. Curley received the nod for town justice.

On the village side, Jesse C. Coburn, a former village trustee, and William "Liam" Hunt were nominated for the two village board positions. Gregory P. Storie was nominated for village justice.

Canton Republicans will hold their caucus at 6:30 p.m. Thursday at the Canton Municipal Building.
