FRANKLIN, Pa. — Watertown late model drivers Tim McCreadie and Tim Fuller ran into trouble early in Sunday night's 50-lap Oil Region Labor Day Classic A-Main at the Tri-City Speedway.
McCreadie couldn't avoid an accident on lap two. He was later lapped on lap 19 and pulled out on lap 24 after blowing a right-front tire due to the mangled bumper on his car from the earlier accident. Fuller slammed the right side of his car into the tractor tire in front of the turn-three wall and left the race on lap nine. Darrell Lanigan won the feature
The 22nd-place finish by McCreadie saw him fall deeper behind points leader Jason Richards. Fuller, who started ninth, finished 23rd in the 24-car field.
■ Larry Wight held off Alan Johnson on Sunday to win the Super DIRTcar Series race for big-block modifieds at the Cayuga County Fair Speedway in Weedsport.
The 17-year-old high school senior at Phoenix Central took the lead on lap seven and held it for the next 93 to post the victory.
Dale Planck finished third with Billy Decker and Justin Haers rounding out the top five. Lance Willix II of Theresa finished 20th.
