Parking restrictions put in place along five streets between Washington Street and Myrtle Avenue because of ongoing construction at Samaritan Medical Center, 830 Washington St., have been lifted.

During construction, parking on Haley, Ward and Bishop streets and Park and Bowers avenues was restricted on the side where the fire hydrant is on the city right of way. The City Council unanimously approved an ordinance Tuesday night that returned parking to its format before the start of the hospital's project.

In early December, HBE Corp., St. Louis, Mo., the hospital's general contractor, opened the three-tier, 350-space parking garage.
