Ferris shines for Minutewomen

Carthage product Katie Ferris continues to emerge as a formidable force on the lacrosse field for the University of Massachusetts.
She scored four goals on Wednesday to help the No. 19 Minutewomen to a 11-4 win over New Hampshire.
Her scoring included back-to-back tallies in the second half as UMass went up 9-2. Ferris has 10 goals in three games this season. She’s second on the team with 11 total points.
