Former Clarkson captain Scott Freeman, who ended his college career Saturday, will be joining the Victoria (B.C.) Salmon Kings of the East Coast Hockey League this week.

Freeman, who was Clarkson's captain in his junior season, scored 10 goals with nine assists in 31 games this season and finished his career with 28 goals and 60 assists in 133 games.

He also scored the 10,000th goal in the program's history during an ECAC Hockey playoff series at Union in 2009.

Victoria still has 13 games left in the regular season and plays a three-game series at the Alaska Aces starting Wednesday.

One of Freeman's new teammates will be former SLU defenseman Jeff Caister.
