Fourth Quarter

New York Mills sophomore Jacob Kehrli took over the game in the fourth quarter. After Chateaugay tied the contest 44-44 halfway through the quarter, New York Mills went on a 7-0 run sparked by a 3-point basket followed by a steal and layup from Kehrli.

Kehrli finished with 18 points to lead New York Mills. Fred Russ scored 15 and Matt Welch added 14.

Michael Boyea, Ian Henderson and Al Lamica each scored 12 for Chateaugay.

Here NY Mills guard Jon Ross clinches the win by making a free throw with 5.7 seconds left, giving the Marauders their final four-point margin.

Third Quarter

New York Mills ends the third quarter on a 6-2 run to take a four-point lead into the final quarter.

Nick Etienne scored four points for the Maurauders in the run.

Earlier in the quarter Chateaugay went on an 8-4 spurt to tie the game 32-32, with Connor Hesseltine scoring five of the points.

Halftime

Chateaugay's Erik Fleury hits two shots in the final minutes to bring the Bulldogs within three points at halftime. New York Mills built a 22-17 lead after consecutive baskets by its 6-9 center Matt Welch.

Ian Henderson leads Chateaugay at the half with seven points and Al Lamica has six. Welch leads New York Mills with eight points.

First Quarter

New York Mills scored six of the last eight points in the quarter to end it with a 12-11 edge.

Chateaugay forced six turnovers and at one point held a 9-6 lead.

Ian Henderson has scored five points for the Bulldogs and Al Lamica has four.

Fred Russ leads New York Mills with four points.

Pregame

The Bulldogs (22-1) are looking to win their second state title in the last four years, having won it all back in 2008. This also Chateaugay's fourth final four appearance in the last five years.

New York Mills (22-0), the Section 3 champion, has won 45 of its last 46 games. The only loss for the Marauders was a 56-50 defeat to Maple Grove in the semifinals last year.

Chateaugay is led by Michael Boyea (14.2 points) and Ian Henderson (12.0).

New York Mills has a size advantage. Center Matt Welch (6-foot-9) averages 20.9 points and 6-foot-5 forward Fred Russ averages 15.4 points. Russ, reportedly, is considering attending Clarkson next year.
