Gaebel named Clarkson assistant

Clarkson University announced Sunday the hiring of Ben Gaebel as the new men’s lacrosse assistant coach.

Gaebel, a Carthage native, has spent the last four seasons as an assistant coach for SUNY Potsdam, where he also continued his education in organizational leadership. Gaebel is a 2007 graduate of SUNY Cortland with a degree in athletic training.

As a player, Gaebel was a 2006 NCAA National Champion, making 18 saves in net for the Red Dragons in the championship game. He was the 2006 ECAC Goaltender of the Year in Division III.
