Saints Sweep Regional

St. Lawrence University's men's and women's cross country teams took home championships Saturday at the NCAA Division III cross country Atlantic Regional on the SLU campus.

The women finished with 77 points and SUNY Geneseo was second with 91. Stefanie Braun of SUNY Plattsburgh was the women's winner and SLU's Jenna Hulton finished in fourth overall.

The Saints men finished with 89 points and SUNY Geneseo was second with 95. SUNY Geneseo's Lee Berube was the overall winner and SLU's John Johnston finished in second place. SLU's Steve Kiplagat was fourth.

SLU was not the only area school that had a successful day. Clarkson's Alex Benway finished in eighth place and qualified for next week's national championship race.
