Ellison scores 13, but SUNY Canton men fall

RANDOLPH CENTER, Vt. — Tyler Ellison reached double figures for the third straight game, but it wasn’t enough for SUNY Canton, which fell to host Vermont Tech, 66-62, in men’s basketball on Sunday.

Ellison finished with a team-high 13 points to go along with six rebounds and three steals for the Kangaroos (11-7 overall).

Alexy Tyrell netted a game-high 23 points to lead the Green Knights (12-9).

■ Kailin Myers paced the SUNY Canton women’s team to a 55-35 triumph over Vermont Tech with 16 points and 14 rebounds.

Elissa St. Germain added 16 points and 10 rebounds for the Kangaroos (5-13). Kelly Vellek led the Green Knights (4-10) with 15 points.
