HAMMOND A strong second half showing helped the Hermon-DeKalb girls basketball team move closer to claiming the Northern Athletic Conference West Division championship with a 43-37 win over Hammond Thursday night.
The game was tied 18-18 at halftime, but the Demons (15-2 overall, 9-1 division) went on a 12-7 run in the third quarter and held on for the win.
Kelly Williams and Clarisa Davis each scored 12 points to lead the Demons.
Alyssa Crosby led all scorers for Hammond (14-3, 8-2) with 18 points and Courtney Bova tossed in 15.
CHATEAUGAY 54, MADRID-WADDINGTON 43
A 19-5 run in the first quarter gave Chateaugay (15-3, 11-1) the championship of the East Division with a victory over the Yellow Jackets in Madrid.
Makayla Miller led the Bulldogs with 14 points.
Courtney Boyea scored 13 and Abby Barnes added 10.
Shelby Gausby led Madrid-Waddington (12-5, 9-3) with 12 points and Brittany Pierce tallied 10.
HARRISVILLE 57, LISBON 41
Kathleen Coloney led Harrisville (11-7, 5-5) with 19 points in a West Division win over the Golden Knights in Lisbon.
Desiree Andrew scored 14 points and Janel Swanson tossed in 10 for Harrisville. Allison Akins paced the Golden Knights (4-12, 0-10) with 20 points and Jackie Sovie scored 10.
CLIFTON-FINE 63, HEUVELTON 53
Morgan Skeldon scored 21 and Hunter Hitchman provided 19 points as the Eagles (11-6, 4-6) cruised past Heuvelton in a West Division game at Star Lake.
Kelli Hebert led the Bulldogs (9-9, 4-8) with 10 points.
TUPPER LAKE 68, ST. REGIS FALLS 29
Carley Aldridge led the Lumberjacks (14-4, 10-2) with 18 points in a win over St. Regis Falls in an East Division contest at Tupper Lake.
Sam Sanford scored 16 points and Katie Stuart added 14 points, six rebounds and nine assists for the Lumberjacks.
Racheal Duquette led St. Regis Falls (1-17, 1-2) with 16 points.
EDWARDS-KNOX 42, COLTON-PIERREPONT 16
Claire Davis scored 11 points to send the Cougars (5-13, 5-8) past Colton-Pierrepont in an East Division game in Russell. Morgan Doyle paced the Colts (2-16, 2-10) with 12 points.
SALMON RIVER 52, BRUSHTON-MOIRA 26
Karyss Terrance had a double-double, with 15 points and 11 rebounds as the Shamrocks (15-3, 8-0) ended the North Division season unbeaten after a win over Brushton-Moira in Fort Covington.
Abby Kelly had 14 points and nine steals for the Shamrocks. The Panthers fell to 8-8 and 4-3.
MASSENA 52, GOUVERNEUR 30
Alisha Jacobs scored 16 points as the Red Raiders (14-4, 7-1) clinched a tie for the Central Division title with a win over Gouverneur in Massena.
Kirstin Roberts led the Wildcats (4-13, 2-6) with nine points.
OFA 54, POTSDAM 34
Mackenzie Coles 22-point effort sent the Blue Devils (8-10, 3-5) past Potsdam in a Central Division contest in Ogdensburg. MaKinzi Stevenson added 10 points for OFA. Shanielle Chambers was the top scorer for Potsdam (4-14, 1-7) with 16 points.

Ben Fuller led the Cougars (11-6, 7-5) with 11 points in an East Division victory over Colton-Pierrepont in Russell. Scott Boyce topped the Colts (5-12, 2-9) with 11 points.

Zane Ramsdell scored 17 points as the Larries (11-6) knocked off Gouverneur in a nonleague game in Brasher Falls.
Regan Dunbar scored 14 points with 12 rebounds for the Larries.
Nate Guesford led the Wildcats (3-14) with 14 points.
