Mannsville resident wins IHC raffle

Danny Graves, Mannsville, is the winner of Immaculate Heart Central’s raffle. The district will award him $15,000 or a 2012 Ford Focus.

IHC raised approximately $30,000.

According to the press release, this is the first time Mr. Graves has won a raffle.

The raffle and a dance were part of an effort to raise funds to replace the IHC Intermediate School playground, which the school removed at the beginning of the school year out of concerns for safety.

Nearly two-thirds of the funds needed have been raised so far.

In addition to the playground, this fundraising effort will be used to provide students with scholastic and financial need-based scholarships to attend the private school next year.
