I am a sports fan and enjoy watching football, basketball, baseball, lacrosse, etc. However, when I heard that about $3.3 million was spent on 30-second commercials for the Super Bowl, I was flabbergasted to say the least. The commercials, for the most part, were selling either alcohol or sex.
Do the people who do those commercials have any idea how many people that $3.3 million would have fed or clothed or paid for heat, rent, etc.?
I think its a terrible thing that right here in our own country, town, village and school district there are so many people who are homeless and hungry and then you see where all that money is spent on 30-second commercials.
I realize I am only speaking for myself, but I felt I had to say something.
