Sectional time, date changes affect area teams

Several changes have been made to the area Section 3 boys and girls basketball schedules for this week.

In boys’ action, Watertown’s Class AA first-round game at Nottingham today will begin at 6:30 p.m.

Beaver River plays host to Thousand Islands in a Class C first-round boys’ game at 7 p.m. Wednesday instead of Tuesday.

The Beaver River girls play a Class C first-round game at Sauquoit Valley at 6 p.m. Wednesday.

On Friday, Alexandria will be hosting a girl/boy doubleheader. The Alexandria girls will now play the Cincinnatus/Rome Catholic winner at 6 p.m., followed by the Cincinnatus/Alexandria boys at 7:30 p.m.

The General Brown girls’ Class B-2 game at Sherburne-Earlville is now 6 p.m. Friday, moved up from 7.
